Ferragosto Fair Volunteers

Dear Scouts, Rovers, Ventures and Parents of Cubs, Joeys and Scouts,

Once again, we are running a climbing wall at the Ferragosto Fair in Five Dock on Sunday 21st August.

Last year the wall was busy all day and generated a huge amount of interest in the Sea Scouts, with a number of new group members recruited as a result. We hope to repeat that this year, and also raise some money for Group Funds which have taken a recent hit for upgrades and repairs to the hall.

There’s an opportunity for everyone to help out. Parents, Rovers and Ventures are needed to check harnesses and supervise the climbers, but Scouts can help get people out of the safety gear, and anyone can help selling tickets too.

The wall will be there from 10am to 4pm (plus an hour each end to set up and pack away). I’m putting together a roster with 2 hour slots, so we can spread the work as widely as possible.

If you can help, please let me know when you’re available and I’ll give you a job!
